Neuropsychological assessment is conducted by the Neuropsychologist and / or a trained psychometrician. The length of the testing depends on the questions to be answered in terms of school, work, or areas of supervision needed and specific client needs. Testing can take from one to eight hours. Longer testing sessions can be divided into shorter appointments if needed. The activities in the test vary. Some are verbal, some written, and some involve hands-on activities. The test will begin at an easy level and progressively become more difficult. Tools used can assess attention concentration, learning, memory, motor, language, and sensory functions as well as measure I.Q. and academic achievement. We also do testing for special students (IQ Testing, Special Education, Advanced Placement, Excelled Learners), competency evaluation, police evaluations, post-accident litigation and rehab, disability evaluation, presurgical evaluation for bariatric surgery, or for pain as in neck/back surgeries.
